Farmers Market [photos]
Our stall got some attention last Sunday as we spoke to the local residents about getting an allotment. Our table showcased gardening books, allotment grown vegetables and pumpkins, site pictures and site maps.
Some people we spoke to were a little worried they don’t have enough time to look after a plot. We were able to advise options such as consider getting a mini-plot or attending Plot 31 meetings.
Some people were thrilled to hear allotments were available and arranged viewings!
We had some seeds from our shop on display too.
It was great to see young people being interested in getting an allotment and we were excited to speak to fellow allotmenteers from not only Harpenden but also neighbouring towns.
